Manufacturing
Daewo Bus Costa Rica S.A.. has a production plant with a built area of 8,300 m2. This plant is structured in several Departments which are divided in work stations and are defined in a precise way the different operations, using tools, team and specialized machinery to reach the biggest quality at a good cost.
The different Departments or Production areas are divided this way: (click on each area to see the details):
ENGINEERING
This area prepares all the designs settled down in the production line using the blue prints and insoles, likewise is responsible for the conceptual investigation and the design of the new projects for construction of prototypes and pre-molds.
ASSEMBLING
This area is in charge of the assembling of the chassis, with the constant supervision of our Head Office’s Engineer Dept. of Korea, guaranteeing this way the personnel's constant training, as well as the supervision of high level and the application of the strict standards of production of our brand.
MANUFACTURING
In this area pieces of the different structural veneered subsets are manufactured and smaller subsets are assembled.
STRUCTURES
In this area we gets ready and aligns the chassis for the assembly of the structures built with galvanized steel of high resistance, the structural subsets are assembled by means of “jigs” as well as the later assembly of other elements like stirrups and wheel steps.
PHOSPHATING PROCESS
The chassis and the structure of the chassis are subjected to a treatment anticorrosive complete chemist, guaranteeing this way the protection of the chassis against the attack of the tropical climate.
LAMINATE PROCESS
In this area we prepare the diverse ones veneered to the chassis, beginning with the external lateral sheets of ZINCOR (alloy Steel-zinc) which doesn't allow oxidation but does allows the welding electrically. Later, the installation is made of those veneered internal.
PAINTING PROCESS
The paint designs are traced with insoles and reference points obtained by computer, this gives the advantage of making any design that the client wants. To the moment of the application, we use painting of polyurethane of high quality, in a pressurized special big oven. Each elected color is baked independently, guaranteeing this way the adherence and quality of the process.
FINISH PROCESS
In this last stage of the process, it is made the assembly of floors covering, windows, windshield, seats and other accessories. The final tests and the cleaning are also made for delivery.
